MI 920 HP

The basis for a precise iris analysis.

High-precision Iridology for Naturopathic Practice

The Kaps MI 920 HP iris microscope is a specialized device for precise iris analyses in naturopathy. It combines high-quality optics, ergonomic operation and flexible adjustment options.

Over 75 years With an eye for detail

The extraordinary precision and attention to detail characterize every Kaps Optik project – a quality that customers and partners around the world appreciate.

The know-how that has grown over 75 years flows into every tailor-made solution, regardless of whether it is a local or international project.

Apochromatic optics with 5-step magnification changer

The apochromatic optics deliver crystal-clear images with natural color reproduction and high contrast (6.7x to 16.9x magnification). It enables the detection of the finest iris structures that remain invisible with magnifying glasses.

Lateral halogen illumination with UV protection

The 6 V/20 W halogen lamp with oblique light incidence ensures optimal contrasting of iris characteristics. Integrated UV and heat protection filters (GG 475) protect the patient’s eye.

Ergonomic handling

The control lever enables precise fine movements (±9 mm in all directions) and height adjustment (±14 mm). A chin rest with height adjustment ensures individual adaptation to patients.

Documentation capability

Optional beam splitters and photo tubes for DSLR or HD cameras are used for documentation of findings. The device is compatible with C-mount video cameras and TFT monitors.

Precision

The Kaps MI 920 HP iris microscope offers exceptional detail accuracy, which is essential for well-founded iridological examinations. The apochromatic optics eliminate chromatic aberrations and thus deliver color-true, pin-sharp images of the iris. The multiple corrected 5-step magnification changer makes it possible to switch between different magnification levels and to perform both overview shots and detailed analyses in the highest quality. The lateral halogen illumination generates an ideal light incidence, which optimally contrasts structures, fibers, color variations and inclusions in the iris and makes even the most subtle diagnostic features recognizable. Thanks to the stable depth of field and the excellent resolution, even longer analyses can be carried out with consistently high precision, without causing fatigue in the examiner or inaccuracies in the assessment.

Safety

The Kaps MI 920 HP iris microscope was designed with special attention to the safety of the patient and user. The integrated UV and heat protection filters (GG 475) effectively block potentially harmful radiation components and thereby minimize the risk of eye irritation or damage during longer examinations. The intensity of the 6 V/20 W halogen lamp is continuously adjustable, so that the amount of light can be adapted to the individual needs and sensitivities of the patient. The stable construction with a weight of 13 kg ensures a secure stand and prevents unintentional movements during the examination. The height-adjustable chin rest enables optimal positioning of the patient and prevents fatigue or tension. In addition, the precise control mechanism ensures a gentle, controlled movement of the microscope head, which avoids abrupt changes in position and thus contributes to a pleasant and safe examination experience for the patient.
