High-resolution imaging

The three-stage zoom combined with 10x WF eyepieces achieves magnifications up to 16x with a 300 mm lens. A halogen main light provides homogeneous illumination through stepless intensity control. The integrated green filter increases contrast in vascular and mucous membrane examinations.

Expandable system architecture

A C-mount adapter enables HD video and endoscopy documentation. The laser coupling option with 532 nm fiber optics combines diagnostics and therapy. Interchangeable lenses and eyepieces offer flexible working distances.

Ergonomic handling

The T-handle control enables precise one-handed positioning. The mobile rolling stand weighs 60 kg and offers 600 mm height adjustment. The foldable swivel arm saves space in the practice.

Economic sustainability

The retrofittable design allows LED retrofitting and digitization. An automatic standby mode reduces power consumption to 0.5 watts. The full metal housing offers IP54 protection against environmental influences.

Premium LED system and full equipment

The powerful LED lighting of the SOM 52 achieves a peak illuminance of 52,000 lux at a color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin, thereby delivering superior contrast sharpness. The energy-efficient system requires only 10 W and eliminates any lamp replacement thanks to the maintenance-free LED technology. The specialized green filter enhances vascular imaging for detailed vascular analyses.

Extended optics and workplace comfort

The Kaps SOM 52 colposcope is based on the proven convergent beam path for fatigue-free long-term examinations. The standardized working distance of 300 mm creates optimal conditions for precise maneuvers during colposcopy. The three-dimensional, plastic image result supports the safe assessment of tissue structures. Adjustable eyepieces allow the optics to be individually adapted to the user’s eyesight.
