Direct clamping to stable tables or anchoring with a special bracket. Ideal for mobile use and quick repositioning. Optionally available with a tripod or for wall/ceiling mounting.

Ergonomic design with large working area

Continuously adjustable swivel and floating arm that enables precise positioning and an ergonomically correct posture. Large working area for flexible applications.

Customizable optical systems

Magnification changer options: 3-step (standard), 5-step (optional) or manual 1:6 zoom (optional). Various binocular tubes: Straight tube f = 125 mm or f = 159 mm, inclined tube 45° f = 125 mm or f = 159 mm, wide-angle swivel tube f = 182 mm (0-210°). Eyepieces: 10x V, 12.5x V or 20x V.

Variable working distances

Lenses with focal lengths from 100 mm to 400 mm (in 50 mm increments). Fine focusing: 12 mm with focusing lenses f = 250 mm and f = 300 mm or 40 mm manual option.

Versatility

The Kaps SOM 82 incident light stereo microscope impresses with its exceptional versatility, making it an ideal instrument for training and education centers. Thanks to its modular concept, it can be quickly adapted to different application scenarios, whether for medical examinations, technical inspections or scientific analyses. The variable mounting option allows both fixed installation and mobile use. The possibility of direct table clamping is particularly noteworthy, as it enables quick repositioning in different working areas without the need for complex installations. This flexibility is complemented by the extensive selection of optical components and accessories, which means that the microscope can be individually configured for specific tasks. From a simple observation instrument to a complete documentation and training system, the SOM 82 offers almost unlimited customization options.

Optical precision

The Kaps SOM 82 impresses with its high-quality stereo optics, which deliver razor-sharp, detailed images with excellent depth of field. The various magnification changer options enable optimum adaptation to different observation tasks. The optional manual 1:6 zoom, which allows continuous magnification changes without interrupting observation, is particularly valuable. The high-quality wide-field eyepieces (10x V, 12.5x V or 20x V) offer a large field of view and a comfortable eye relief, which also allows spectacle wearers to work comfortably. The precise fine focusing ensures exact focusing and thus detailed observations. The selectable lighting systems – from the powerful cold light illumination to the modern LED version – guarantee optimum illumination of the examination field with high contrast and natural color rendering. This optical quality is crucial for precise diagnoses, detailed inspections and meaningful documentation in all areas of application.
