Since our founding on April 1, 1946, Karl Kaps GmbH & Co. KG has stood for precision, innovation and quality “Made in Germany”. What once began with the production of parts for cinema projectors has developed over the decades into a globally recognized high-tech company. Our headquarters in Aßlar near Wetzlar is the center of our production and innovation.
Today we specialize in two core areas:
- Medical technology: Development and production of modern surgical and diagnostic microscopes used worldwide in specialist areas such as ENT, ophthalmology, microsurgery, endodontics and gynecology.
- Optics for hunting and sports: High-quality rifle scopes and binoculars for hunters, sport shooters, and nature and animal observers.
Our company is now family-run in the third generation. We rely on state-of-the-art technologies and close collaboration with international experts to develop products that meet the highest standards. With a global dealer network, we are present in over 100 countries.
