The SOM© 82 is truly versatile. It can be directly clamped to a sturdy table or securely anchored with a bracket. The swivel and floating arms are continuously adjustable, covering a generous working area. With a single move, the microscope is in position and ready for use.

The Kaps SOM 82 incident light stereo microscope impresses with its exceptional versatility, making it an ideal instrument for training and educational centres. Its modular design allows it to be quickly adapted to different application scenarios, whether for medical examinations, technical inspections or scientific analyses. The variable mounting possibility permits both fixed installation and mobile use. Particularly noteworthy is the option for direct table clamping, enabling quick repositioning in various work areas without the need for complex installations. This flexibility is complemented by the extensive range of optical components and accessories, allowing the microscope to be configured individually for specific tasks. From a simple observation tool to a comprehensive documentation and training system, the SOM 82 offers nearly unlimited customisation options.

Optical Precision

The SOM 82 capsule impresses with its high-quality stereo optics, delivering razor-sharp, detailed images with excellent depth of field. The various magnification changer options enable optimal adjustment for different observation tasks. Particularly valuable is the optional manual 1:6 zoom, which allows seamless magnification change without interrupting observation. The high-quality wide-field eyepieces (10x V, 12.5x V or 20x V) offer a large field of view and a comfortable eye distance, enabling users with glasses to work comfortably. The precise fine focusing ensures exact adjustments, allowing for detailed observations. The selectable lighting systems – from powerful cold light illumination to the modern LED variant – ensure optimal illumination of the examination field with high contrast and natural colour reproduction. This optical quality is crucial for precise diagnoses, detailed inspections and informative documentation across all applications.
